200 Hour Teacher Training

We are thrilled to be offering our fifth 200-hour Teacher Training again this Fall!

This program is for students interested in formally teaching yoga. Upon graduation, students will have met all requirements to register with the Yoga Alliance and begin their teaching journey!

Rooted in the values of our studio, the Yogaleena School 200 Hour Teacher Training program offers aspiring teachers the opportunity to broaden their understanding of yoga and develop the necessary skills to share it effectively with others. Over the course of 3 months, students will be immersed in the study and practice of the following:  Asana, Anatomy, Philosophy, Sequencing, Meditation, Pranayama, Props & Modifications, Ayurveda, Leadership, and Service. Through discussion, active demonstration, observation, and prompted reflection, students will uncover their unique voice as leaders within the yoga community, learn teaching methodologies to lead inspiring group and/or private yoga classes, and integrate the principles of yoga philosophy, creativity, and self-care into their own lives.

Graduation requirements include completing all course work, teaching 3 donation community classes, and passing a written final exam.

This program will be led by Carolina, E-RYT and owner of Yogaleena Studio and supported by several amazing Yogaleena teachers! Our intention is to provide students an intimate, personalized experience and mentor each individual through their own journey. Spots in this incredible training are limited to 10.

We take pride in offering an intimate, immersive, and hands-on experience for all of our trainees at Yogaleena School which goes above and beyond the Yoga Alliance Standards for YTT. ” The Yogaleena YTT embodies a sense of genuine camaraderie and community. I learned so much through the teachers and also from my fellow trainees. Through the rich teachings and discussions on the yoga sutras and philosophies, my relationship with yoga has moved from beyond just my mat to my daily life. I also learned to utilize the support from the instructors and trainees to push myself into spaces that felt uncomfortable and new – like teaching a class! “

-Catherine Comiskey, 2019 YS Grad

” Enrolling in Yogaleena School was both timely and completely life-changing for me. I found myself in an organic community of women that was more welcoming and supportive than I have ever experienced, and I know that these friendships are going to last a long time.

I thought it was going to be very difficult to juggle the schedule with my gigs, but Carolina and the other instructors were so gracious and flexible. The information taught was both broad and in depth, and I feel like I was given just enough to pique my interest but not feel overwhelmed.

Having been trained in such an amazing environment with such amazing people, I feel fully equipped to begin teaching yoga and deepening my own yoga journey! “

– Ellen Story, 2019 YS Grad

” Moving to Houston and immediately starting this training the next month was the best thing I could have done. Everyone involved became my family. We went so much deeper into philosophy and self reflection than I anticipated and it has allowed me to grow as a person and to make powerful connections with this amazing group of ladies. Between the weekends, books, online course, and guest teachers I learned so much and have so many resources to reference in the future. Thank you for creating a beautiful and safe place. Although I am sad that this part of my journey is over, I feel prepared and excited to start teaching! “

– Maci Farmer, YS 2019 Grad (and YL Teacher)
