Meet My Tribe: Jenn & Nadia

I have my aesthetician, Jaclyn Losie from Skindustry, to thank for the radical improvement in my skin over the last year, introducing me to the PCA line of products which I love, and for the best facials I have ever gotten in my life. As of 3 months ago, I have one more thing I owe her big time for – setting me up on a lunch date with another beloved member of my teaching tribe, Jennifer Bachand.

About a month before Yogaleena’s Grand Opening, I realized I had spent so much time remodeling the studio itself that I hadn’t even thought about hiring a team, BIG oh oh. I scanned my brain for potential instructors and remembered Jaclyn saying she had some clients that were yoga teachers. Long story short, Jenn and I met at Relish for lunch, became insta-freinds, and she now teaches the holy-sh*t-that’s-early 6:15am class on Wednesdays.

Meeting Nadia was another instance where the Universe stepped in and put the right person at the right time in my life. We met through a mutual friend, who out of the blue texted me about her dental hygienist, who happened to be a yoga instructor. Nadia and I made plans to meet at Agora for coffee…which quickly turned into several glasses of wine. Again, based solely on a gut feeling that she was a perfect fit for Yogaleena, I hired her. Nadia now teaches our Thursday community classes for donations that support a different charity each month. She chose the SARDAA for March, an organization that is near and dear to her heart since her brother has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. Stay tuned for her full story next month.

The wild thing about both of these chance encounters is that Jenn and Nadia have been besties for a long time, and I didn’t even know it! They completed their 200-hr training at Big Power Yoga together and teach at Impact Fitness several times/week.

Small world…and I’m lucky to be part of theirs!

Meet Jenn and Nadia.
