“Wanting to reform the world without discovering one’s true self is like trying to cover the world with leather to avoid the pain of walking on stones and thorns. It is much simpler to wear shoes.” ― Ramana Maharshi
NEW Yoga Immersion & Mentorship Program:
This experiential training is for students who wish to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga, but are not interested in formally teaching. Students in the Yogaleena School Immersion & Mentorship program will learn alongside peers in our 200-Hour Teacher Training in the following modules – offered virtually through Zoom or in our outdoor classroom, the Houston Arboretum: Philosophy, Meditation, Pranayama, Ayurveda, and Leadership. In addition, students will meet one-on-one with Carolina for guidance, inspiration, and reflection.
Included in this program is enrollment in one of our new Yoga Pods – small groups that meet weekly to practice, learn, and grow together. We offer pods in a variety of styles (heath, flow, yin, etc.) so students can choose the practice that resonates most authentically with them at this time. To learn more about pods, check out our Yoga Yogaleena School Pods page!
The focus of this mentorship will be application of yoga philosophy and wisdom off the mat. Theory is nice, but it’s within the context of our messy relationships, emotions, and lives that this stuff really serves us! Especially in these turbulent times, a committed practice (asana, meditation, introspection, etc) and nurturing support from a group of like-hearted individuals can offer the tools necessary to cope and find meaning in what we’re experiencing. Whether you’re a mama, an entrepreneur, a corporate leader, a creative, or none of the above/still figuring it our – this program will help you connect with your soul, get clear on your purpose, and lead from the heart.
This program will be led by Carolina, E-RYT and owner of Yogaleena Studio, Bailey Robertson, E-RYT and Yogaleena Studio manager, and supported by several amazing Yogaleena teachers! Our intention is to provide students an intimate, personalized experience and create a safe environment that takes into account social distancing measures currently in place. Spots will be limited to 10 for our Immersion & Mentorship Track, which takes place virtually through Zoom or outdoors.

What Our Grads are Saying…
” I knew that I was going into the I&M program to feel more personally rooted in and connected to yoga and my path in practice. I was able to learn so much more from Carolina and my group members. We covered Ayurveda, philosophy, different types of yoga, meditation… the list goes on. And the learning and experiences went beyond textbook understandings of various concepts – we pushed each other to make real world connections and reflections about how the many facets of yoga show up and can support us in day-today life. “
” As a visual learner, I loved the notes that Carolina provided and the organization of weekly sessions. All that we learned built on previous things we’d discussed, which was very useful. I also loved the outdoor mini retreats and the location. It was beautiful practicing outdoors. “
” I feel more connected to the the practice of yoga and how the limbs outside of physical practice can support me in my life. I was able implement things we read in books or discussed in class into my life immediately, which helped in making them actual lifestyle shifts. I understand more about gratitude ad meditation, and how I can effectively use those practices in my life as a meaningful part of my practice. Immersion is a perfect word for the program; for me I was able to continue the things I was used to but have more connection and understanding to how they contribute to my personal practice. “
