New to yoga? Welcome to Yogaleena School, we’re so glad you’re here!

Stepping into a yoga class for the first time can be really intimidating, especially if everyone else seems to know exactly what they’re doing! That’s why we have several options for brand new students looking to start a yoga practice in a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment – check them out below:

INTRO TO YOGA SERIES

This 4-week series is designed for brand new students looking to begin a yoga practice in  a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. In this series, students will be introduced to the most common yoga poses found in group classes, learn proper alignment and technique, and unerstand how to use props to get the most out of their time on the mat. They’ll leave with a strong foundation from which to grow their pactice and the confidence to continue on their yoga journey, wherever it may take them.

Please note this is not for students looking for a gentle yoga class.

FOUNDATIONS OF YOGA POD

This 12-week Pod builds on the Intro to Yoga series, offering student the opportunity to explore additional poses, transitions, and skills. With a focus on proper alignment, our weekly sessions will help students increase body awareness and improve balance, strength, and flexibility.

Our next Foundations Pod kicks off this Fall – stay tuned!

VINYASA BASICS & HATHA PODS

If you’re ready to commit to your practice and growth, check out our new Pod offering! Pods are small groups who meet weekly (same day/time & instructor) and follow a curriculum designed to teach you something new each week! If you’re new to the vinyasa flow style of yoga, a great way to dive in is by joining our Vinyasa Basics Pod offered Mondays at 5:30pm. If you prefer a little less “flow” between poses, we recommend our Hatha Yoga Pod on Wednesdays at 9am (currently a virtual pod.) With more focus on alignment and detailed instructions, these pods offers yogis an opportunity to work on their form, movement, and  breath at a slightly slower pace.
